What do we do in a Speed Reading Course? Receive and Produce

"You're teaching a class on speed reading?   Four hours a day?  What are you gong to do?"

Students have been taking speed readign tests each day and then they get practice with scann and skimming.

They are asked to bring in a book or magazine to read

They are given an article to time themselves daily.

After RECEIVING information, they are encouraged to PRODUCE something.

Here are some examples

Webpages,  Show each other excellent uplifting videos
A portfolio  and a poster
POEMS

Designs on SpreadShirt

So that they can return to their reading exercises with fresh approaches.
